Sikorsky’s Stratford Facility Loses Job of Repairing President’s Helicopter

STRATFORD, Conn. Aug. 17, 2016 – A total of 85 workers will be impacted after Stratford’s Sikorsky Aircraft lost the job of repairing the presidential Marine One helicopters, according to local legislators.

Sikorsky Aircraft’s negotiations with the U.S. Navy fell through for the work so it will no longer be performed in Connecticut. The Navy will instead move the repair work internally to a center in Florida.
