International Association of Helicopter Maintenance Professionals (IAHMP)
It’s been nine months since the last Global Helicopter Mechanic Shortage Symposium was held at Heli-Expo 2015 in Orlando, FL. At the end of the symposium, a decision was made to create a nonprofit 501(c) (3) public service association. The name of the association is the International Association of Helicopter Maintenance Professionals (IAHMP). The mission of the Association is to provide helicopter maintenance professionals with a global, self-sustaining association committed to promoting and advancing the Airframe & Powerplant/Aircraft Maintenance Engineer helicopter maintenance community at the individual level, and be the membership’s advocate and voice to the regulatory communities, helicopter industries and other related associations worldwide.
As of December 11, 2015, IAHMP went from a concept to a reality. The Association is headquartered in Glendale, Arizona, and received from the State of Arizona their approval for IAHMP’s Articles of Incorporation.
IAHMP will be present at Heli-Expo 2016, in Louisville, KY, and we look forward to meeting all of the Heli-Expo attendees and answering any and all questions they have about joining IAHMP. Our website will be in development after January 1st, and should be up and running by Heli-Expo 2016. Should you or any of your readers have any questions, please contact me at the email address below.
