There currently exists a global shortage of helicopter maintenance professionals. With that in mind, IAHMP is starting a new Outreach Program to talk with high school students about a possible career as helicopter maintenance professionals. This may well be a career path that they are not aware of.
The shortage of these high skilled professionals is on-going through retirement and other reasons, and the projected upswing for the helicopter industry is looking to be in late 2017. With the two year time frame required to obtain an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, this is the time to start thinking if this is something of interest as a possible career.
To help offset the expenses for this program, we are trying to reach our goal before the Thanksgiving holiday. All who donate $25 or more will receive a high quality IAHMP mouse pad as our way of saying thank you.
To make a gofundme donation, simply go to www.gofundme.com. Type in IAHMP and when the page comes up, click on the picture. Then follow the directions to make a donation.
Please tell your coworkers, family and friends about this effort and help us achieve our goal.
Thank you for your consideration,
